Great location, they have two floors and the top one is a rooftop. This bar is great for happy hour or catching the game.
They are within a 5 minute walk from the Nationals Park.
They have a small simple menu of bites like loaded fries, boneless chicken wings, fried pickles and tater tots. They also have a variety of cocktails on tap like the Takoda Mule and Fun In The Sun. The beers are served on tap too.
The staff was friendly, accommodating and made sure our glasses were never empty!
My friends and I had a fantastic time at Takoda. The drinks were delicious (I had the Sera Luce and Fun in the Sun), the views from the rooftop were immaculate, and our bartender Marianna was a delight and gave great recommendations. The fried pickles and tater tots we had were also on point. We are definitely coming back!
I had the best time at Takoda! The vibes are immaculate and the service is great. Marianna, was super down to earth and a fantastic bartender! She makes the best mojito. Also the drinks on tap are such a nice touch. Bathrooms are clean. The rooftop is spacious and has good music.
This was my first time at this bar. It had a phenomena rooftop view of DC. There is a wide selection of different cocktails. The bartender, Marianna, took her time to explain each one. She recommended some amazing cocktails!!!
Decent bar in navy yard. The rooftop is pretty neat. Staff is really nice, especially the bartender with the beard and prices are reasonable for DC.
Might have just been the night we went but the vibes of the other people there was aggressively “straight finance bro” and “consultant girlies” so…if you’re into that then you’ll really like this place. If not you’ll at least be able to enjoy a fun drink and people watch the show.
Takoda has such a pretty aesthetic, and I love the rooftop bar as well as the indoor bar for its clean look. Marianna was a wonderful bartender!! She makes AMAZING drinks and she’s such great company. I had an awesome time at Takoda and I can’t wait to come back!! :)
Marianna is such an amazing bartender!!! She made the experience so fun. This was my first time there and I had such a great time. Great place, highly recommend!!! Danny was also great giving our group great shots!
Be aware of the two flights of stairs and check the prices. I ordered something from the menu and they charged me more. I brought it to their attention and the waiter went to check on their own prices. Very chill place, very close, Food is a expected drinks are not so great.
